Ground Cashews

Burkina Faso - ORGANIC

Some cashew nuts or cashew pieces are stained or slightly wrinkled. Though this doesn’t affect their taste, we can’t export them. We process these cashews into a kind of flour, which is called mugu in the local language.

Cashew flour can only be kept for a few months. It’s important to protect the flour from moisture and air. Ideally, transfer the flour into sealable jars or airtight plastic containers and consume it quickly. Alternatively, you can freeze the flour in airtight packaging and store it for longer. Let the frozen flour thaw before use.
