It is best to store the figs at 5 to 10°C in a dark place e.g. in the cellar or the refrigerator. The fruits can be kept for several months when stored this way. Over time, the figs can develop a white coating. This is fruit sugar that escapes from within the fruit along with the remaining moisture. It is a sign that the figs are natural and untreated.
