Seeds from the apricot stone. Unroasted and unsalted, their taste is reminiscent of almonds and hazelnuts. As with almonds, there are always bitter specimens among sweet apricot kernels. For this reason, apricot kernels aren’t suitable for children. Adults should eat a maximum of 50 grams per day.
Nuts and seeds stay fresh longer when they are stored in an airtight container in a cool, dark place. At storage temperatures below 16°C, pests such as moths don’t stand a chance. You can freeze nuts to extend their shelf life.
