Aceto Balsamico di Modena I.G.P.
This Aceto Balsamico is made just 40 kilometres north of Modena. It consists of a mixture of wine vinegar and cooked grape must from the Lambrusco and Sangiovese grape varieties. After one to two years of fermentation, the balsamic vinegar rests in oak barrels for another one or two years, which gives it an intense aroma with a slightly pungent taste and a hint of sweetness. Free from colourings and preservatives.
The balsamic vinegar comes in a 3-liter bag-in-box and can be kept almost indefinitely at room temperature. The official minimum shelf life is 10 years.
