A warming recipe for the winter months: These grapefruit halves develop a delicious aroma in the oven. Recipe by Kristina Jansson, Geschichten aus dem Küchenschrank


  • grapefruits, one half per person
  • approx. 1 tsp sugar, or other sweetener of choice, optional
  • a little cinnamon


  1. Cut the grapefruit in half crosswise. Sprinkle each half with sugar or a sweetener of your choice, e.g. maple or date syrup.
  2. Place the grapefruit halves on a baking tray and bake at 200° for about 15-20 minutes. Bake until they start to bubble and the skin is slightly toasted. Sprinkle with a little cinnamon and serve while still warm.
