When it comes to fresh oranges and lemons, we can think of a number of possible uses: pure, baked as a pie, cooked into a jam or preserved in salt. These ginger and citrus shots are our new favourite. Get ready for a healthy dose of flavour and vitamins. Recipe by Corinna Frei, Schüsselglück

Ingwer-Zitrus-Shots

Ingredients for 10 shots of 40ml

  • 60 g ginger
  • 4 oranges
  • 2 lemons
  • 20 g turmeric (optional)
  • 1 generous pinch of black pepper (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Thoroughly wash the ginger and, if used, turmeric.
  2. Without a blender: Finely grate the roots. Juice the oranges and lemons. Add the pepper.
    With a blender: Juice the oranges and lemons and mix with the other ingredients in a blender at the highest speed.
  3. Pass the liquid through a sieve and store it in a bottle. The ginger and citrus mix can be kept in the refrigerator for at least 5 days.
